Hello, I am Anna
I am a project manager, a parent, and an expat living in Berlin, Germany.
A few years ago, I moved here with my family. What began as a temporary contract gradually became a new chapter of life abroad.
How It Started
Relocating to Germany wasn’t part of our long-term plan. Like many expatriate moves, it started as a job opportunity and soon grew into something much bigger.
The first months were challenging — new systems, new routines, new expectations. Daily tasks felt more tangled than they needed to be.
The Adjustment Period
There was cultural shock, uncertainty, and plenty of hands-on learning. But gradually, routines took shape. We found places that worked for us, connected with other families, and began building something that felt stable.
Why I Built Quiet Plum Grid
Most online information was either corporate relocation guidance or shallow tourism content. What was missing was an honest, everyday family perspective.
This site exists to bridge that gap — practical advice drawn from real life in Germany.
What This Site Does (And Does Not)
This site is:
- Practical experience from residing in Germany
- Centered on family life and daily realities
- Updated when something truly changes
This site isn't:
- A travel authority resource
- A paid-review platform
- An ordinary travel blog
Looking Forward
Our stay in Germany continues, and so does the learning journey. As long as the information remains useful, I’ll continue documenting what we discover.
If you have questions about family life in Berlin or anywhere in Germany, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
Best regards,
Anna
